So Much!!

Just came back from the optometrist so much poorer!! Wow, I shouldn't be shocked by how much everything costs and how every child costs me a fortune. Silly me I still get shocked.

My daughter needed some special focusing lenses, which I am very happy to know that it will help her. Her comment was "Wow everything has stopped moving around and I can read it so much better". So it is all worth it of course.

So I have finished the client order for a pillow/quilt. They look very cute :)

I finally listed the swirls with the inktense pencil, I ended up calling it Happiness With Colour. Trying to be more indepth and creative with my titles. It is a bit tricky sometimes :)

So I am really happy with this and love the colour that I get from the inktense pencils, just so vibrant.

Another big storm a while ago and can you see what I see ....:)

See the nose and the mouth and the eyebrow and it even looks like there is hair streaming back :)

And I have also finished my other piece, I did all the machine work first on this piece and then used the inktense pencils to colour in and shade. Love this one too, just need to bind it and this will be going on etsy too.

You can see the S before I coloured it...

Now coloured, so fun!!

All Done :)

So now the bigges challenge is what next? Need an idea I think.
About to start the new Louise Penny book, so I could just disappear for a while, mmmm that sounds good :).

Pretty Things

Well I went to the craft fair and had a great time. Didn't buy too much, just some really pretty things

With these so very pretty beady ribbon combination, I will be making my own lavender bags as you can see below.... gorgeous I think

And these two very pretty lace pieces will be also going on lavender bags, just for something different

So cute don't you think??

I also have nearly finished my latest commission baby quilt....

Just need to bind it and iron and wash and snip threads..... yeah nearly finished :)

This was a couple of days ago, just thought it was so gorgeous, the sun setting through the clouds, what little clouds there are, we haven't had rain for soooo long. 60% of our state is drought declared and the grass is so dry it hurts to walk on it :) because that compares to being a drought declared farmer :)

So tired tonight!! Just dealing with the two youngest. They get soooo silly, not naughty just nuts!! and I swear it seems that they have not got their brain switched on sometimes, or most of the time :) so tiring dealing with them and keeping calm and saying the same thing over and over and over and over..... ughhh anyway they are in bed and suitable chastened and hopefully (ha!) thinking about how they can stop being so silly.
On something more fun :) I watched the first episode of Sleepy Hollow today, very cool and fun. Another show to add to my watch list. And I am also reading a fantastic book called Lady of Ashes by Christine Trent and it is set in Victorian London and she is an undertaker and all the intricacies with dealing with all that and her husband goes missing.... I am absolutely enjoying it.

And another milestone in my exercising today, I nearly fainted!! Wohooo really pushing myself :) man it hurt again!! Will get up tomorrow and do it all again :) just without the fainting feeling :)

Off to finish the quilt and watch another episode of Sleepy Hollow

Quilt Done

I finished the quilt yesterday and I am so happy with it. I love the white in it as i really makes everything else stand out.

Now to do the wall hangings, then I am excited to start my Italian themed one so that I can add something to my Etsy store as it has been a bit quiet there lately.

Made some cupcakes from a Martha Stewart cookbook and they were so delicious, the only thing was Sam and I made double batches of two different cupcakes so the recipe said 30 so that means we should have gotten 120 cupcakes. We only ended up with 77, this was a bit annoying since we used 12 eggs and a lot of butter. On one hand they taste fantastic so thats great but on the other hand I want more cupcakes for my ingredients :) such a silly thing to complain about I know :) Next time I just won't bake when I get the urge :)

So Far

School is back, the house has been cleaned and I am sewing!! I am so glad I have found something that makes me happy  :) Here are a few photos of progress so far

Loving the tree trunk :)

This is gorgeous fabric so I just shadowed the design and it looks fantastic, well I think  it does :)

Love the leaves too...

Just watched a Miss Marple movie and of course it was fantastic. I wonder when those movies air whether the sales in villages go up :) It seriously looks idyllic and divine :) it never rains, its never cold, everyone is so very nice, well except for the murderer but you know that he/she will be gone soon so that's ok :) and all the houses are gorgeous and the gardens are in full bloom oh and no one has to work. What a life!! I want one of those too please :). The only reason it would suck is if you were the victim, but hey you got to live in a gorgeous village for a while before someone killed you :).

Back to reality now, which is pretty good for me - sewing and watching a new show for me, Scandal, love it.
